Time-sensitive serving.
Clear on the plan.
Plan time-sensitive process serving in California. Rush and Same-Day are requested due-date pricing bands; attempt timing and successful service are not guaranteed.
The handoff matters.
Include the exact deadline, service location and prepared documents. Rush and Same-Day use requested due-date pricing bands; urgency alone does not require a separate quote. A completed request does not guarantee successful service.

Confirmed together before work begins.
A clear record, even on a tight deadline.
Review the attempts, outcome and applicable service documentation for the assignment. A requested due date or paid expedited rate does not itself confirm a scheduled attempt, completed service or court filing.
Explore your workspaceDoes a rush request need a separate quote?
Rush service uses the published rate selected by your requested due date. Eligible requests can proceed to checkout without a manual quote just because they are urgent. A separate review is needed only when another part of the request requires it, such as an unresolved address.
Does rush mean same-day completion?
No. Rush prices apply to requested due dates 3–6 calendar days away; the Same-Day tier applies to dates today or within 2 calendar days, using America/Los_Angeles time. These are pricing bands, not a guarantee of successful service or four attempts on one day.
UNDERSTAND YOUR DELIVERABLES
Proof of Service and the attempt record.
A Proof of Service records how court papers were served, including the documents, recipient, location and timing. The form and any additional requirements depend on the documents and the matter.
California Courts: serving court papers- After the work
- Review the reported result and applicable service documents shared in your client workspace. The record should reflect the work actually performed.
- If service is unsuccessful
- An unsuccessful attempt is recorded as an attempt. Discuss any further work, address change or additional instructions with the team within the scope of your request.
- Returning a document and filing it
- Receiving a Proof of Service does not by itself confirm that it has been filed with the court. Identify any filing task separately and review the reported submission result.
