Check the email connected to the matter
Your workspace brings together the matters your account can access. If you use more than one email address, compare the account you signed in with against the invitation or earlier correspondence for the matter. Being able to sign in does not establish that every matter you work on is available to that account.
Use the reference from your correspondence
Look for a reference in the request confirmation or your correspondence with Affid. A general description can help if you do not have one. The public workspace preview uses sample information and cannot locate your matter. Creating an account or opening a service form alone does not submit an assignment or grant access to an existing matter.
- Sign in using the account email associated with the request or existing matter.
- Check the matter reference in your previous correspondence and whether the request was confirmed.
- Ask the team to confirm that the expected matter is shared with the intended email address.
What the team needs to know
Include your name, account email and a non-confidential reference, if available. Say that you can sign in but cannot find the expected matter. If there is also an urgent deadline, state its date and time. Keep detailed case information and documents for the portal or another sharing channel arranged by your team.
