Start with the location and timing
Process-serving prices are per recipient and address. Routine, Rush and Same-Day have different rates, with a separate remote or rural rate for each tier. The requested due date selects the tier using calendar days in America/Los_Angeles: Routine is 7 or more days away, Rush is 3–6 days away, and Same-Day is today or within 2 days. The location checker estimates the address classification; review the final total in the portal before paying.
Current regular-address rates are $100 Routine, $150 Rush and $230 Same-Day. The corresponding remote or rural rates are $150, $250 and $330. Local court filing, courtesy copy delivery, court records retrieval and legal courier use these same published location and due-date rates. Court, witness and other third-party fees are additional. The same-address recipient discount and four-attempt allowance apply to process serving.
For process serving, count recipients at each address
The first recipient at an address is full price. The second and each additional recipient at that same address is half price. Each tier includes up to 4 attempts. Tell the team when recipients have different addresses so the proposed work can be assessed correctly; the same-address reduction should not be assumed for another location.
Review the whole estimate
Review the service, applicable add-ons, automatically calculated printing and any requested advance for subpoena, witness, court or government fees. The full advance and check-handling charges are included with the service payment. A later address change is a separate change to an existing assignment, rather than an add-on to select when creating it. Eligible fixed-price requests can proceed to checkout; Remote Assistant, notarization or unresolved details may need review.
