All questionsWhose rules apply when we serve in California?
The rules of the court where your case is pending generally decide how service must be made and proved. Share those requirements with the request. Affid follows your instructions and doesn’t advise on which rules apply.
Can you help with an out-of-state subpoena?
California issues its own subpoena once the foreign subpoena and an application are submitted to the superior court clerk in the county where discovery is sought (Code of Civil Procedure §2029.300). Affid can deliver the prepared packet to the clerk and serve the subpoena that is issued.
How do we receive the proof of service?
Attempts, outcomes and documents for your request appear in your client workspace, including the completed proof of service. Tell us if your court needs a particular form.
